Executive Leadership

David Banks

President and CEO

David Banks is the President and CEO of AdventHealth, assuming the role effective April 3, 2025. He has a history with AdventHealth spanning over three decades. Prior to his appointment as CEO, Banks served as the group CEO for the Primary Health Division and the Multi-State Division, overseeing 22 campuses across eight states and three regional partnerships. For eight years, he also held the position of AdventHealth's chief strategy officer, where he was involved in the development and execution of the organization's 10-year business plan, Vision 2030. His operational expertise is rooted in earlier administrative roles at several facilities within the Central Florida Division. Banks holds a master's degree in nonprofit administration from the University of Maryland and a bachelor's degree from Pacific Union College. He has also been involved in community initiatives, including serving on the executive board for the American Heart Association of Central Florida, as chairman for Community Vision, and on the board of the YMCA of Central Florida.

Gary F. Thurber

AdventHealth Board Chair

Gary F. Thurber is the Board Chair at AdventHealth and has a background in pastoral leadership within the Seventh-day Adventist Church. He currently serves as the president for the Mid-America Union Conference of Seventh-day Adventists, which covers a nine-state area in the Midwest. Thurber was ordained in 1987 and has pastored in various conferences, including Kansas-Nebraska, Florida, and Michigan. He has also held presidential roles in the Rocky Mountain, Indiana, and Northern New England conferences. Before his current role, he was the executive secretary of the Lake Union Conference. Thurber holds a bachelor's degree from Southern Adventist University and a master's degree in religion from Andrews University, where he is also enrolled in the PhD leadership program. He previously served as AdventHealth Board Chair from 2017 to 2019 and was re-elected in December 2023. He also serves on the board of other healthcare and higher education institutions and chairs the board of Union College.

Brian Adams

Executive Vice President, President/CEO for the Central Florida Division

Brian Adams serves as the Executive Vice President, President/CEO for the Central Florida Division at AdventHealth. In this role, he is responsible for the strategy, planning, development, implementation, and operational oversight of AdventHealth's care network across Orange, Seminole and Osceola counties, which includes 17 hospitals and emergency departments and over 32,000 team members. Before leading the Central Florida Division, Adams held leadership positions at AdventHealth in the Tampa Bay and Polk County communities. His previous roles include serving as senior vice president of new markets for the AdventHealth Central Florida Division โ€“ South Region and president/CEO for AdventHealth Tampa, where he oversaw a $100 million expansion project. He also served as president/CEO for AdventHealth Wesley Chapel and CEO of AdventHealth's operations in Polk County, where he was market CEO for the newly acquired Heart of Florida Regional Medical Center and Lake Wales Medical Center. During his tenure in Polk County, AdventHealth also formed an affiliation with Bond Clinic. Adams has been with AdventHealth for 20 years. Adams holds a Master's in Business Administration degree from the University of Central Florida and a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Union College in Lincoln, Nebraska. He is originally from Oshawa, Ontario, Canada. Adams serves on the Board of Lift Orlando, a community development organization. Under his leadership, AdventHealth's Central Florida Division has achieved straight "A" patient safety grades from The Leapfrog Group, and AdventHealth Orlando has been ranked as the No. 1 hospital in the metro area by U.S. News & World Report for 14 years. He has also overseen multi-million-dollar development projects and expanded recruitment efforts in local high schools and invested in Florida nursing schools.

Olesea Azevedo

Senior Executive Vice President, Chief Culture and Transformation Officer

Olesea Azevedo is the Senior Executive Vice President, Chief Culture and Transformation Officer at AdventHealth. She has a strong background in Human Resources, having started her career as an HR Generalist and progressing through various leadership roles. Azevedo joined AdventHealth in 2016 and has been instrumental in building and strengthening the People and Culture team. Her role expanded in 2023 to include leadership of People and Culture, Corporate Services, Sustainability, Brand, Marketing, and Consumer Experience. Prior to AdventHealth, Azevedo held senior HR positions at Florida Blue and Guidewell, Baptist Health South Florida, and Conagra Brands. She holds a Master of Arts in Business Administration from Northern Illinois University and a degree in Business from Andrews University. She also completed a Board Governance program at Harvard Business School. Azevedo is recognized for her leadership in culture transformation and employee experience innovation. She is a founding member and co-sponsor of AdventHealth's Leadership Institute and has established DEI councils across the system. She has received several accolades, including the Front of the Front Lines Lifetime Achievement Award from HRO Today (2023) and being named among the Top 100 HR Professionals from OnCon Conference (2022). Azevedo is also actively involved with various boards and organizations, such as Andrews University, Big Brothers and Big Sisters, and Hearts in Unison.

Jeffrey Bromme, Esq.

Executive Vice President, Chief Legal Officer

Jeffrey Bromme, Esq. serves as Executive Vice President and Chief Legal Officer at AdventHealth. He is responsible for leading the legal department, which provides legal services to AdventHealth providers, as well as the advocacy, policy, and tax departments. Prior to joining AdventHealth in 2009, Bromme was a partner at Arnold & Porter LLP. He also served as General Counsel to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission from 1996 to 1999 and clerked for the Honorable Will Garwood at the U.S. Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals from 1986 to 1987. Bromme earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Texas School of Law and his Bachelor of Arts from Southwestern Adventist University. He is admitted to the bar in Florida and Texas (inactive status) and is authorized house counsel under Florida Bar rules. He is also a member of the American Health Lawyers Association.

Michael Cacciatore, MD

Executive Vice President, Chief Clinical Officer

Michael Cacciatore, MD, is the Executive Vice President and Chief Clinical Officer for AdventHealth. He assumed this role on March 4, 2024, and has been with AdventHealth for 17 years. In his current position, he provides leadership for safety and quality programs and the clinical performance of the company. Before this role, Dr. Cacciatore served as Chief Clinical Officer for AdventHealth's West Florida Division from February 2022 to 2024, where he oversaw the clinical agenda and advanced strategies to improve clinical outcomes. Previously, he was the Chief Medical Officer for AdventHealth Medical Group (AHMG) in Central Florida, where he focused on enhancing team culture and positioning physicians as leaders. Under his leadership, the first AHMG Wellness Committee was created, and the first Chief Wellness Officer was appointed. Dr. Cacciatore also served as Medical Director of the AdventHealth Obstetrics Hospitalists team in Central Florida and was a clinical faculty member in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology for the AdventHealth Family Practice Residency Program. Dr. Cacciatore is a board-certified Obstetrician Gynecologist with over 30 years of experience in the medical field. He completed his undergraduate and medical degrees, as well as his medical residency, at the University of South Florida.

Trish Celano

Senior Vice President, Associate Chief Clinical Officer, Chief Nurse Executive

Trish Celano, MSN, RN, is the Senior Vice President, Associate Chief Clinical Officer, and Chief Nurse Executive at AdventHealth. She has over 30 years of experience in nursing and patient care. Celano's career path to nursing was unconventional, starting in the insurance industry where she developed an interest in healthcare. She earned a Bachelor's degree in Nursing from the University of Delaware and a Master's degree in Nursing Management from the University of Central Florida (UCF). She is a proud alumna of the UCF College of Nursing. Throughout her career at AdventHealth (formerly Florida Hospital), Celano has held various leadership roles. She was the first Chief Nursing Officer at AdventHealth for Children, where she played a key role in the hospital receiving Magnet designation for nursing excellence. She also served as Senior Vice President and Chief Nursing Officer for AdventHealth Orlando and as Senior Vice President and Regional Chief Clinical Officer for AdventHealth's Central Florida Division โ€“ North Region. In her current role, which she assumed in 2019, Celano supports 52 hospitals across nine states and is responsible for advancing the clinical strategy for the health system. She is actively involved in professional nursing organizations and has served as the president of the Central Florida Organization of Nurse Executives. Celano is recognized for her compassionate leadership, focus on whole-person care, and efforts to support and develop nurses. She has been instrumental in initiatives focused on workforce retention and professional development for nurses within AdventHealth.

Brent Davis

Executive Vice President, CEO for the Primary Health Division

Brent Davis is the Executive Vice President and CEO for the Primary Health Division at AdventHealth. In this role, he is responsible for the growth and diversification of the primary health business units, supporting value-based, longitudinal healthcare. Prior to becoming CEO, Davis served in a dual Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer role for the Primary Health Division, overseeing operational responsibility for the Population Health Services Organization and financial strategy. His previous experience includes multiple CFO positions, such as regional chief financial officer for AdventHealth facilities in Volusia, Flagler, and Lake counties, as well as CFO at Kettering Medical Center System in Ohio, St. Anthony North Hospital, and AdventHealth Avista in Colorado. He began his career as a senior auditor for Ernst & Young in 2008. Davis holds a Master of Business Administration with an emphasis in information technology from California Lutheran University and a Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in accounting from Walla Walla University. He is also a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.

Rob Deininger

President/CEO for the East Florida Division

Rob Deininger is the President and CEO for the East Florida Division at AdventHealth, a position he assumed effective May 4, 2025. Prior to this role, he served as market CEO for the AdventHealth Central Florida Division's quaternary hub. His history with AdventHealth dates back to 2008, holding various progressive leadership roles. Notably, he was president and CEO of AdventHealth Fish Memorial from 2015 to late 2020, where he oversaw expansion projects, including a new offsite emergency room and a hospital campus expansion. He also served as vice president of operations for AdventHealth Orlando and vice president of research operations, as well as system incident commander for AdventHealth's pandemic response team. Before his career in healthcare, Deininger spent 12 years as a commercial airline pilot, accumulating over 9,000 flight hours. He holds a bachelor's degree in technology and a Master's in Business Administration from Andrews University in Michigan. He is an active member of professional organizations including the American College of Healthcare Executives, the American Society for Quality, and the Society of Research Administrators. He also holds a Six Sigma Black Belt.

Audrey Gregory

Senior Executive Vice President and CEO of Multi-Division Delivery Network

Audrey Gregory, PhD, MSN, RN, is the Senior Executive Vice President and CEO of AdventHealth's Multi-Division Delivery Network, a role she assumed in May 2025. This network comprises the system's Multi-State and Primary Health divisions, where she oversees strategy and operations across a portfolio of hospitals and outpatient facilities. With a healthcare career spanning over 30 years, Gregory began as a trauma and emergency room nurse. She has more than 20 years of experience as a healthcare executive, holding various senior leadership roles prior to her current position. Before leading the Multi-Division Delivery Network, she served as President and CEO of AdventHealth's East Florida Division (also referred to as the Central Florida Division โ€“ North Region) starting in 2021. Her previous experience includes senior executive roles at Tenet Health and serving as group CEO for the Detroit Medical Center. She has also held positions as Chief Nursing Officer, Chief Operating Officer, and hospital CEO. Gregory holds a Ph.D. in Global Leadership and master's degrees in nursing and healthcare administration. She has been nationally recognized for her contributions and leadership in healthcare.

Duncan Grodack

Executive Vice President, Chief Information Officer

Duncan Grodack is the Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer at AdventHealth. He has a career spanning over 20 years with AdventHealth, holding various IT leadership positions including Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for AdventHealth IT, SVP and CIO for AdventHealth Florida, Vice President and Associate Chief Information Officer, Assistant Vice President of Information Systems, and Director of Business Intelligence at AdventHealth Orlando (formerly Florida Hospital). Randy Haffner

Senior Executive Vice President, Group CEO for Florida and Clinical

Randy Haffner is the Senior Executive Vice President, Group CEO for Florida and Clinical at AdventHealth. He has a long history with the organization, having joined in 1989. His previous roles include serving as President and CEO of AdventHealth's Central Florida Division, President and CEO for the Multi-State Division, CEO of Porter Adventist Hospital in Colorado, and administrator of AdventHealth Orlando. Haffner holds a Bachelor of Science from Walla Walla College, a Master of Business Administration from the Roy E. Crummer Graduate School of Business at Rollins College, and a Doctorate in Leadership Studies from Andrews University. Andrew Jahn

Executive Vice President, President/CEO for the Multi-State Division

Andrew Jahn is the Executive Vice President, President/CEO for the Multi-State Division at AdventHealth. He assumed this role on April 1, 2024, and is responsible for the strategic development and growth of AdventHealth assets across eight states. He previously served as president of Adventist Health's Southern California Network, where he oversaw strategy and operations for their facilities in the greater Los Angeles basin. His prior roles at Adventist Health include president of their former Care Division, and president and CFO of Adventist Health Sonora in Northern California. He has also held leadership positions at AdventHealth in Kansas City and Orlando, including director of finance at Shawnee Mission Medical Center and assistant to the CFO of Florida Hospital. Shelli Johnson

Executive Vice President and Chief People Officer

Shelli Johnson serves as the Executive Vice President and Chief People Officer at AdventHealth, a position she assumed effective May 4th. With over 15 years of experience within AdventHealth, she began her career there as an intern. Prior to her current role, she was the Chief People Officer for AdventHealth's Multi-State and Primary Health divisions starting in February 2023. Her previous tenure at AdventHealth from 2012 to 2019 included roles such as Executive Director of Business Partnerships & Organizational Readiness and Director of Organizational Readiness. During this time, she was involved in leading organizational readiness for the implementation of the company's enterprise resource planning (ERP) system and developing the HR operating model. Before returning to AdventHealth in her SVP role, Johnson worked as an Organizational Transformation, Strategy Design, and Leadership Development Consultant at Zoki & Jo from February 2020 to January 2023. Earlier experience includes serving as a Human Resources Director and Business Development Leader at Emory-Adventist Hospital and a Management Resident in Human Resources at Adventist Health System. Shelli Johnson holds a Master of Business Administration from Webster University and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a focus on Marketing from Union Adventist University. David Ottati

Executive Vice President, CEO for the West Florida Division

David Ottati is the Executive Vice President, President, and CEO for the West Florida Division at AdventHealth. He began his career at AdventHealth as a management resident and has since held various leadership positions within the organization. Prior to his current role, Ottati served as president and CEO for the Central Florida Division โ€“ North Region, overseeing six AdventHealth hospitals. He also previously served as president and CEO for AdventHealth Waterman and AdventHealth Palm Coast. Earlier in his career, he was a vice president in AdventHealth's Heartland market, responsible for the daily operations of AdventHealth Lake Placid and AdventHealth Wauchula. Paul Rathbun

Paul Rathbun serves as the Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at AdventHealth. Brent Snyder, Esq.

Executive Vice President, Revenue Cycle, Risk, and AIT

Brent Snyder, Esq., is the Executive Vice President, Revenue Cycle, Risk, and AIT at AdventHealth. He has an extensive background with the organization, spanning over 30 to 35 years, and previously served as the corporate Chief Information Officer for Adventist Health System. Prior to that role, he held finance leadership positions, including chief financial officer of the system's multi-state division, vice president and CFO of Tennessee Christian Medical Center, and CFO of Takoma Adventist Hospital. Bryan Stiltz

Bryan Stiltz is the Executive Vice President, CEO for Primary Care Network and Physician Enterprise at AdventHealth. He has also been appointed CEO of AdventHealth Medical Group in the health system's Rocky Mountain region, a role he will hold for a year while continuing his EVP responsibilities. Tim Cook

His previous roles at AdventHealth include serving as CEO of AdventHealth Altamonte Springs, CEO of Florida Hospital DeLand, CEO of the Florida Hospital Heartland Division, and CEO of Adventist LaGrange Memorial Hospital in Illinois. He also held roles with Adventist Midwest Health, such as vice president of development, regional vice president of human resources, risk management, customer service excellence, and chief operating officer. Cook led the launch of The Hope & Healing Center in 2021 to support those struggling with opioid addiction and has overseen construction projects, including AdventHealth Apopka's new campus. Before his career in healthcare, he worked as a pastor and a United Way executive director. He holds a Master's in humanities and religion from Andrews University and a Bachelor's in theology from Pacific Union College.

Vickie White

Senior Vice President, Chief Brand and Consumer Officer

Vickie White is the Senior Vice President and Chief Brand and Consumer Officer at AdventHealth. She has a passion for healthcare and oversees AdventHealth's national brand strategy, consumer experience, digital marketing, reputation management, and creative design.
