Hawaii Pacific Health hosted a job fair on Sunday, June 8, 2025, at the Kapiolani Medical Center for Women & Children's Diamond Head Tower Auditorium. The event aimed to recruit individuals for a diverse range of medical and non-medical roles available across HPH's Oahu facilities, including Kapiolani, Pali Momi, and Straub Benioff medical centers and various clinics. Available positions spanned numerous departments, such as food services (workers and cooks), patient services (representatives and registrars), housekeeping, telephone operations, maintenance, security, and clinical support roles like medical assistants, medical secretaries, and nurse aides. The job fair provided attendees with the opportunity to connect directly with hiring managers. Prospective applicants were advised to dress in business casual attire and bring an updated resume. Hawaii Pacific Health (HPH) utilizes the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) Portfolio Program™ to recognize and provide continuing certification credit to its physicians for their quality improvement (QI) and patient safety work. This program supports HPH's mission to improve outcomes, reduce costs, and deliver exceptional patient care across its network of four hospitals and outpatient clinics. In 2024, 250 physicians participated, receiving credit for work that aligns with board certification requirements. The program encourages collaboration and networking among physicians on QI projects. For example, a project in neonatology focused on improving breast milk rates for premature babies through educational interventions, demonstrating how data and collaborative efforts are used to improve patient outcomes and also provide physicians with recognition for their participation in these technology or data-enabled initiatives. The use of such programs highlights HPH's integration of data and analytics into their quality improvement processes. [24]

Hawaii Pacific Health is undertaking a significant redevelopment of its Straub Benioff Medical Center in Honolulu. As part of this project, the Hawaii Medical Service Association (HMSA), the state's largest health insurer, has made a substantial donation of $4 million. This gift is noted as HMSA's largest ever to Hawaii Pacific Health and the first specifically directed towards the Straub Benioff Medical Center. The funds are intended to support the redevelopment efforts, with the new Parking Building featuring a meeting and conference center that will be named in recognition of HMSA. Leaders from both organizations highlighted their shared goal of improving the health of Hawaii residents through quality medical care and addressing factors affecting health in the state. The redevelopment project's first phase is underway, focusing on the Parking Building, which will significantly increase parking capacity. Future phases include a new Medical Tower with an expanded emergency department and larger patient and operating rooms. This donation signifies a strong collaborative relationship between a major healthcare provider and a leading payer in Hawaii, focused on investing in healthcare infrastructure for community benefit. The Ninth Annual Ko Olina Children's Festival successfully raised $60,000 for Kapiolani Medical Center for Women & Children. This annual event brings together hundreds of children and their families for a day of ocean-themed activities and fun. The funds generated from the festival directly support the programs and services at Kapiolani Medical Center, which is part of the Hawaii Pacific Health network. This recurring event demonstrates a strong community relationship and ongoing support for pediatric healthcare services provided by Hawaii Pacific Health. [6]
