Trina Allen is the Vice President of Human Resources at Monument Health, which is the largest employer in western South Dakota. Barb Hespen is the Chief Nursing Officer at Monument Health and also serves as the President of Monument Health Custer Hospital and Market. She is a seasoned nursing executive with extensive leadership experience in healthcare organizations. Hespen was born in central South Dakota and has lived in the state her entire life. She graduated from the three-year diploma program at Rapid City Regional Hospital School of Nursing in 1986. John Pierce is the President of Monument Health Rapid City Hospital and Market. He has been with Monument Health (formerly Regional Health) in various positions since 1999. Pierce served as acting president of Rapid City Hospital and Market starting in July 2018 and was permanently appointed to the role in September 2018. His previous roles at the organization include director of senior care services, director of strategic planning, and CEO of Regional Health Physicians. Thomas Worsley is the President of Spearfish Hospital and Hills Markets at Monument Health. He has extensive experience in the healthcare industry, having held leadership positions at Monument Health, Medical College of Wisconsin, EY, and OHSU. Thomas Worsley holds a Master of Healthcare Administration and a Master of Public Administration from Portland State University, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Brigham Young University. He is also involved in community service and has joined the Northern Black Hills Rotary Club. He is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE).

Successfully led the health system’s strategic marketing, internal and external communications, community relations and philanthropic efforts. Alan Solano is the Vice President of Governmental Affairs at Monument Health. He began this role in January 2025. Prior to joining Monument Health, he served as the President and CEO of the John T. Vucurevich Foundation for six years, starting in March 2019. Before that, Solano had a 27-year career at Behavior Management Systems, a mental health services provider, where he held various positions, including bookkeeper, human resources manager, employee relations director, associate executive officer, and for his last 12 years, CEO. Solano also has a background in public service, having served as a South Dakota State Senator for District 32 for six years (2014-2019). During his time as a senator, he held leadership roles, including chair of the Education Committee and Majority Whip. He has also been involved in several state task forces and nonprofit boards focused on mental health, substance abuse, and justice system reforms. He is a lifelong resident of Rapid City, South Dakota, and holds a bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Accounting from Black Hills State University, graduating in 1991.
Mark Thompson is the Chief Business Development Officer at Monument Health. He has a long tenure with the organization, spanning 33 years.
