[7] Her strengths include working effectively with internal and external stakeholders utilizing strong influence and negotiation skills; strategic thinking, communication and systems development, as well as initiative and leadership. [7] Ms. Nabahani's professional affiliations include the California Hospital Association, Association of Ambulatory Behavioral Healthcare, the Orange County Mental Health Association as well as varied volunteer efforts in Los Angeles and Orange County. April Contreras

Vice President Patient Financial Services / RCM

April Contreras has an extensive career within College Health Enterprises that spans over 25 years of experience. [8] Throughout her career she has committed to the values and mission of the organization to provide exceptional care that is cost-efficient to our patient population. [8] In 2015, Ms. Contreras was promoted to Vice President Patient Financial Services / RCM. [8] Ms. Contreras has consistently and directly impacted the increase in cash collections and decrease in AR collection days throughout the organization. [8] Revenue Cycle Management is her top priority. [8] This has entailed her continued evaluation in various departments such as, Access Services, Admitting, Utilization Review Departments, Case Management, Medical Records and the centralized Patient Accounting Department. [8] Outside of the organization, Ms. Contreras directly assisted Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health, while working with stakeholders, in assisting with the development of the current concurrent authorization review process. [8] This included establishing forms, documents, and policies. [8] In 2021, Ms. Contreras worked closely with California Hospital Association (CHA) to provide education regarding free-standing psychiatric hospital collections and claiming of bad debts for RAD Code denial 170. [8] This entailed working close with one of the largest attorney firms, HL&B. [8] Most recently, with the CalAIM's intuitive Ms. Contreras has worked closely with the largest two counties, LA County and Orange County, to assist with the BH population in accessing outpatient ECT services which has consisted of working directly with the counties, Medi-Cal Managed Care organizations, medical groups/IPA's, as well as clinician teams to establish contracts, billing practices, and coordination of care. [8] In addition to our hospital division Ms. Contreras oversees the long-term care division that consists of two Skilled Nursing Facilities, one retirement center, and a residential treatment home. [8]

Laura Mason

Vice President, Government Operations & Managed Care

Laura Mason, Vice President, Government Operations & Managed Care at College Health Enterprises, possesses 28 years of experience in the behavioral health care field, working within both public and private systems. Her background includes experience in community mental health, state and private psychiatric hospitals, chemical dependency programs, schools, jails, and correctional facilities.
