Over 41 years of ample experience in diverse sectors, including health care, audit and consulting, banking and non-profit organizations. Has been with Sistema de Salud Menonita for over 14 years, and he specializes in strategic planning, business development, acquisitions and financing. Throughout his professional career he has always been involved in innovation projects, where he draws from his diverse knowledge of different economic sectors and extensive experience. Prior to joining Menonita, he was the Chief Financial Officer in a prestigious financial institution in Puerto Rico and prior to that he was the President and CEO of a nonprofit foundation in the health service sector with a hospital and multiple health related programs, like home care and housing projects for the elderly and handicapped. He started his professional career with one of the US big eight audit firms where he worked for over 13 years, was Senior Manager and directed one of their offices in Puerto Rico. Hernández has been instrumental in the development, expansion and innovation at Menonita since 2007, when he joined the Institution. He has lead the development and implementation of Menonita's technological initiatives, which provide a full integration model to provide better healthcare services, a seamless health delivery model and innovation platforms to better serve the community.
