Norton Children's, part of Norton Healthcare, has announced plans to build a new 150-acre pediatric care campus in eastern Jefferson County, Louisville. This campus will feature a second dedicated children's hospital, research facilities, and expanded specialty services. The vision is to create a 'village for pediatric care' that integrates leading-edge technology to connect with remote relatives and enhance the patient and family experience. Norton Healthcare CEO Russell F. Cox emphasized the importance of technology in this expansion and noted their strong relationship with Epic. The project is expected to create 1,000 jobs and will be developed in phases, starting with the new hospital. Future plans include facilities for behavioral and mental health, additional clinic space, and research facilities. Norton Children's will hold listening sessions in Kentucky and Southern Indiana to ensure the campus meets community needs.

The Wings for Kids Radio Controlled Airshow is scheduled to take place on Saturday, June 7, and Sunday, June 8, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Bill Fluke Airfield at E.P. “Tom” Sawyer State Park in Louisville, KY. This airshow is a fundraising event benefiting Norton Children's Hospital. The event features a variety of radio-controlled flying exhibitions, including aerobatic airplanes, Warbirds, turbine-powered jet aircraft, and scale vintage planes, performed by nationally recognized pilots. Family-friendly activities like an airplane candy drop, inflatables, and tours of the "Just for Kids" transport vehicles are also part of the event. A $5 donation per person or $10 per car load is requested, with 100% of the proceeds going to Norton Children's Hospital.

The 15th annual Bourbon & Bowties™ event is scheduled to be held on Thursday, June 5, 2025, from 6:30 to 10 p.m. at Fleur de Lis Farm in Prospect, Kentucky. This event benefits Norton Children's Hospital and is presented by Northwestern Mutual. Attendees can enjoy hors d'oeuvres prepared by top Louisville chefs, bourbon tastings, and participate in live and silent auctions. The event honors past and present honorees who received care at Norton Children's Hospital and was established in memory of Charles W. Gant. Specialty items like a Vineyard Vines bow tie and bracelets have been created to commemorate the honorees.
