Dragon Medical One (DMO) and Dragon Medical Advisor (DMA), voice recognition and coding tools, are being made available to housestaff at Olive View-UCLA Medical Center starting June 17, 2025. These tools are part of Project Monarch from the Los Angeles County Department of Health Services (DHS) and are intended to assist with clinical charting in the ORCHID electronic health record system. DMO allows dictation via microphone or mobile app, while DMA provides real-time documentation suggestions. Training is required for housestaff to gain access to these tools. Olive View-UCLA Medical Center is one of the four hospitals operated by the LA County Department of Health Services. The implementation of such voice recognition technology aims to improve efficiency and accuracy in medical documentation for the hospital's medical staff.
