Executive Leadership

Craig Wilson, MD

President and Chief Executive Officer

Dr. Craig Wilson is the President and Chief Executive Officer at Suburban Health Organization, a position he took on effective January 2, 2024. He also maintains his responsibilities as Chief Medical Officer, a role he has held since 2014. With nearly three decades as a practicing physician, including experience as a Hospitalist and in Internal Medicine, Dr. Wilson brings extensive clinical and executive leadership to his role. He is a graduate of the University of Queensland Medical School in Australia. His postgraduate training includes an Internal Medicine residency at Ascension St. Vincent in Indianapolis and a Fellowship in Geriatric Medicine at Duke University in North Carolina. Dr. Wilson also holds a Masters in Health Sciences from a program co-sponsored by Duke University and the National Institutes of Health. Before leading Suburban Health Organization, Dr. Wilson held several significant roles at St. Vincent Health, including Chief Medical Officer at St. Vincent Fishers from 2013 to 2014 and Executive Director of Hospitalist Services from 2009 to 2013. He also served as Chairman of the Department of Internal Medicine at St. Vincent Indianapolis from 2007 to 2011 and started his career as a Geriatrician with Ascension St. Vincent in 2001. As President and CEO, he oversees strategic planning, financial and operational performance, and clinical integration for the organization.

Barbara Moser

Senior Vice President of Operations

Barbara Moser is the Senior Vice President of Operations at Suburban Health Organization (SHO) and has been with the organization since 1999. In her role as Senior Vice President of Operations, a position she has held since 2020, she is responsible for integrating the company's strategic plan with its operations and coordinating across departments. Her areas of responsibility include the Risk Retention Group, Long Term Care Collaborations, Provider Recruitment, Continuing Education, Information Technology, Communications, Human Resources, Office Operations, Shared Service Development, and Compliance. She is also a member of SHO's executive team and other key councils, contributing to organization-wide leadership and strategic direction, including service line management, infrastructure management, and staff development. Prior to her current role, she held several positions at SHO, including Vice President of Operations (2011-2020), Vice President of Organizational Services (2007-2011), and Director and Manager of Human Resources and Office Operations (1999-2007). Before joining SHO, she was the Assistant Director of the Indiana Business Network at IMASERV, Inc. from 1992 to 1999. She also worked at the Indiana Senate as a Public Information Officer, Legislative Assistant, and Legislative Intern between 1990 and 1992. Barbara Moser holds a Bachelor of Science from Ball State University, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude in 1991. She is a member of the American Society for Healthcare Risk Management and the Society for Human Resource Management.

Keith Barnhart

Chief Financial Officer

Keith Barnhart serves as the Chief Financial Officer at Suburban Health Organization (SHO), a role he has occupied since 1996. His responsibilities include the management of all accounting and budgeting functions, as well as the financial and operational oversight of the Risk Retention Group. Barnhart is a member of SHO's Executive Team and participates in the CFO Council, working with financial executives from SHO hospitals on cost reduction and efficiency initiatives. Before his tenure at SHO, Barnhart was a Senior Financial Analyst at Anthem from 1990 to 1996 and an Assistant to the Controller at Livingwell, Inc. from 1988 to 1990. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting from Andrews University, earned in 1987, and obtained his Certified Public Accountant certification in 1990. Barnhart is also a member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association.

Dan Leiter

Vice President of Technology and Operations

Dan Leiter is the Vice President of Technology and Operations at Suburban Health Organization (SHO), a position he has held since 2020. He has a long history with SHO, starting in 2005 and previously serving as Director of Operations, Manager of IT and Communication Services, Manager of Communication and Web Services, and Application Consultant. In his current role, he oversees IT, Communications, Provider Recruitment, and Analytics. He is also involved in strategic collaborations with SHO's member hospitals and leads efforts in shared application and service acquisition, implementation, project management, and vendor relations. Before joining SHO, he worked at Corporate Creations, Inc. from 1995 to 2005 in various roles related to system content analysis, project management, media development, and video editing. He began his career at WTIU-TV in Bloomington, Indiana, as a Programming Assistant/Producer from 1993 to 1995. Dan Leiter holds a Bachelor of Arts in Telecommunications from Indiana University and is a Certified Professional in Healthcare Information and Management Systems (CPHIMS). He is also a member of the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society.

Digital Health and Analytics Consultant

Elise Crockett, MHI, is the Digital Health and Analytics Consultant at Suburban Health Organization (SHO). Her responsibilities include developing population health reporting infrastructure for value-based contracts, serving as SHO's HIPAA Security Officer, analyzing utilization and financial data, collaborating with payers, supporting telehealth, managing strategic projects, and developing the SHO Financial Integration Model. She is a Certified Project Management Professional and a Certified Professional in Healthcare Information and Management Systems.
