Matthew (Matt) Fry is President and Chief Executive Officer of Freeman Health System, headquartered in Joplin, Missouri. Providing vision and direction for the three-hospital, 460-bed health system, Matt began serving in this role in April 2025. He previously served as Market President and Chief Executive Officer for the Central Illinois Market of the Hospital Sisters Health System, where he oversaw six hospitals, a surgery center, a comprehensive cancer center, a heart and vascular institute, several teaching programs, and a number of outpatient clinics across Central Illinois.

Jeff Thompson has been with Freeman since 1997. Jeff became Freeman's Chief Clinical Officer in 2021. Prior to that, he served as Vice President of Pharmacy Services. Other roles he has held during his tenure with Freeman include critical care pharmacy specialist, clinical pharmacy coordinator, and director of pharmacy. Jeff received a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from the University of Louisiana Monroe and a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. He holds an Apexus 340b Advanced Operations Certificate.
