David Verinder has served as president and CEO of Sarasota Memorial Health Care System since 2014. He joined SMHCS in 2006 as the Chief Financial Officer and later served as Chief Operating Officer. [3, 5] The health system provides the region's greatest breadth and depth of care and has more than 1.7 million patient visits a year. Sarasota Memorial has been recognized repeatedly as one of the nation's best health systems, with superior patient outcomes and a comprehensive continuum of care. With more than 10,000 staff, it is Sarasota County's largest employer. [5] Throughout his tenure, David has overseen the successful launch of new medical services and facilities to improve the community's access to care. [5]
Jeff Limbocker, an executive with 25 years of health care leadership, has served as Sarasota Memorial's chief operating officer since May of 2024. [5] He oversees daily operations, ensuring services and programs align with strategic plans and playing a key role in growth projects to improve the community's access to care. [5] Jeff joined Sarasota Memorial as the health system's chief financial officer in 2022. [5] He previously served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for the Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady Health System. [11]
Jen Rosati was appointed chief financial officer of Sarasota Memorial Health Care System in February of 2025. [5, 16] Jen, who previously served as the health system's vice president of Financial Operations, has nearly 20 years of comprehensive health care financial management. [5, 16] Before joining Sarasota Memorial in June of 2024, she served as chief financial officer of Broward Health Medical Center in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Before that, she led the Corporate Finance Department at Memorial Healthcare System in Hollywood, Florida. [16] A Certified Public Accountant, Rosati began her career in Finance at Ernst & Young, serving as a Lead Audit Manager focused on the health care industry and compliance with statutory reporting requirements. [16] Rosati grew up in Nokomis, graduated high school in Osprey and attended the University of Miami, where she graduated with a B.B.A in Accounting and Finance. [16]
Jean Lucas, PhD, MBA, APRN, NEA-BC, FAAN, was named chief nursing officer for the health system in January of 2025. [5] Previously, she served as chief nursing officer of the SMH-Sarasota campus since 2022, fostering a culture of patient-centered excellence, collaboration and staff engagement that has repeatedly earned national recognition. [5] Jean also served as chief nursing officer of SMH-Venice, playing a key role in the hospital's successful opening in 2021. [5]
Peter Taylor was named chief strategy and business development officer in December of 2024, overseeing new business initiatives, strategic planning, marketing, communications, public relations, advertising and content development for the health system. [5] Previously, he had served as Sarasota Memorial's vice president of Strategy and Business Development since 2007. [5] Before joining Sarasota Memorial, Peter served in marketing leadership roles for a number of well-known industry leaders, including General Motors and McCann-Erickson Advertising. [5] He graduated from Rhodes University in South Africa with degrees in Economics and Psychology. [5]
