Gulf Breeze Hospital is celebrating its 40th anniversary of serving the community. The facility was opened by Baptist Health Care on June 24, 1985, and has since provided crucial hospital and outpatient services to residents and visitors in south Santa Rosa County. Over the past four decades, Gulf Breeze Hospital has made immeasurable contributions in patient care, careers, and community involvement. Additions to the campus over the years include the Andrews Institute for Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine, various physician practices, and the Ciano Cancer Center. The hospital's team members consistently achieve high rankings for patient experience and quality care. The hospital campus has also been instrumental in the growth of Baptist Health Care's presence on the Santa Rosa peninsula, leading to the establishment of facilities like Baptist Medical Park – Navarre and numerous primary care and specialty practices. Baptist Health Care is offering a variety of support groups and classes during June 2025. These offerings include a Baby Care Basics class scheduled for Saturday, June 7th, from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., with a cost of $20 per class and requiring advance registration. A Weight-Loss Surgery Support group will meet on Tuesday, June 10th, from noon to 1 p.m., also requiring advance registration by phone. Additionally, a Patient and Family Cancer Support group is scheduled for Tuesday, June 10th, from 4 to 5 p.m., with advance registration needed by calling Cancer Support Services. These groups and classes aim to provide valuable resources and support to the community.
