A 33-year-old man, identified as Rickey Durr of Magee, was the victim of a fatal shooting that occurred on Saturday at West Side Park in Gulfport. Following the shooting, Durr was transported to Memorial Hospital where he later died from a gunshot wound. Harrison County Deputy Coroner Whitney Valles confirmed the cause of death. Authorities responded to the shooting around 5:30 p.m. and subsequently issued a first-degree murder warrant for Kendall Jamal McCall, 32, of Jackson. McCall has since turned himself in and was being held at the Harrison County jail on Monday morning with a $1 million bond. Valles stated that Durr passed away around 6 p.m. on Saturday. The Gulfport Police Department is asking anyone with information regarding the incident to contact them or Mississippi Coast Crime Stoppers. [7]
