Archbold recently named Stacey Hancock Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer following the retirement of long-time vice president Zach Wheeler. “Stacey's extensive experience in human resources and her knowledge of the importance of talent acquisition and employee relations will be a valuable asset for Archbold,” said Darcy Craven, Archbold president and CEO. “We are pleased to welcome Stacey to our leadership team.” [10]
James A. Carter, the Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at Archbold Medical Center, has over 22 years of experience in healthcare. He earned a bachelor's degree in industrial engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology and holds master's degrees in business administration and health administration from Georgia State University. Before joining Archbold in 2002 as the director of the Ambulatory Care Center, Carter held positions at Piedmont Medical Center in Atlanta, Rockdale Hospital in Conyers, Georgia, and Alamance Regional Medical Center in Burlington, North Carolina. He has served in various leadership capacities at Archbold, including as vice president of Administrative Services before his promotion to COO.
Dr. Kristopher Palmer, DO, FACOI, CHCQM-PHYADV is the Vice President of Medical Affairs and Chief Medical Officer at Archbold. He joined Archbold's medical staff as a hospital medicine physician in 2016. Prior to this role, he held several leadership positions at Archbold, including Hospital Medicine Program Director and Director of Archbold's Internal Medicine Residency Program, and most recently, Interim Chief Medical Officer. Dr. Palmer earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Bethany College in West Virginia and a Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine from the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed a residency in internal medicine at University Hospitals Richmond Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio. Before moving to Thomasville, where Archbold is located, he practiced as a hospital medicine physician in Cleveland, Ohio, for nearly six years after his residency. He is board certified in Internal Medicine. He is also the Medical Director of the SouthlandMD Hospital Medicine Program and Assistant Medical Director Inpatient Rehab at Archbold Medical Center.
Amy G. Griffin, RN, MSN, CENP, is the Senior Vice President of Patient Care Services/Chief Nursing Officer at Archbold Medical Center. She has a 27-year career at Archbold, starting as a nursing student and working her way up to CNO in 2011. Prior to holding the Senior Vice President title, she was the Vice President of Patient Care at Archbold.

He is recognized for his ability to translate problems into solutions to improve healthcare workflows and his skill in explaining complex clinical topics.
E. Vann Middleton serves as the President of the Archbold Foundation at Archbold Medical Center, a role he has held since 2013. In this capacity, he is responsible for overseeing the management of the Medical Center's long-term investable assets to support the operations of John D. Archbold Memorial Hospital and Archbold Health Services. Middleton's educational background includes graduating from The Bolles School and earning a Bachelor of Arts in History and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Economics from Vanderbilt University. His professional career began as a Financial Consultant at Merrill Lynch. Prior to joining Archbold, he held the position of Executive Vice President and Director of Operations at Tall Timbers Research Station & Land Conservatory. Actively involved in the community, Middleton's commitments include serving on the boards of the Thomasville Historical Society, The Fish & Wildlife Foundation of Florida, and the Thomasville – Thomas County Humane Society. He is also an alumnus of Leadership Thomasville and Leadership Georgia programs.
Jonathan Shedlock is the Vice President of Revenue Cycle Operations at Archbold. Prior to this role, he was the Associate Vice President of Revenue Cycle at Evangelical Community Hospital, where he oversaw all revenue cycle activities. Shedlock has 16 years of experience in the field, including ten years in leadership positions, with a background in both operations and consulting aimed at improving the financial performance of hospitals. Before his time as Associate Vice President, he was a Senior Advisor with Impact Advisors, LLC, and served as the Director of Patient Financial Services at Evangelical Community Hospital from 2020 to 2022. He holds an MBA from California State University, Fresno, and a Bachelor of Science from The Pennsylvania State University. Shedlock is also recognized as a Fellow of the Healthcare Financial Management Association (FHFMA), a Certified Healthcare Financial Professional (CHFP), and a Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR).
J. Christopher Newman is the Vice President of Clinical and Support Services at Archbold Medical Center. He has also held the title of Vice President of Clinical Services at Archbold Memorial Hospital. James S. Womack, also referred to as Jamie Womack, is the VP Critical Access/Post-Acute Services at Archbold. He has held various leadership roles within the Archbold system. According to one source, he joined Archbold in 2002 as the director of the Ambulatory Care Center and previously served as vice president of Administrative Services. Another source indicates he began his career with Archbold in 2011. He has also served as the Administrator of Mitchell County Hospital.
Julie Dumas is the Vice President of Quality and Patient Safety at Archbold, joining the health system in 2005. She has over 15 years of healthcare experience, including direct patient care as a critical care nurse and nearly 11 years in hospital leadership roles. Prior to her current role, she served as the Director of Hospital Accreditation for Archbold. Dumas holds a Bachelor of Science degree in biology and a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing, both from Valdosta State University.
Archbold recently named Brock Dockery Vice President of Archbold Medical Group. [9] Dockery has over 10 years of healthcare experience, including direct patient care as an athletic trainer and physical therapy assistant. [9] Most recently, he served as Physician Outreach Director at Archbold and Assistant Vice President of Archbold Medical Group, combining his clinical knowledge with strategy and communication skills to focus on strategic growth for the organization. [9] Dockery earned a Bachelor of Science degree in athletic training at the University of Mobile and a Master's of Business Administration at Louisiana State University Shreveport. [9]
Catherine Hurst is the Assistant Vice President of Clinical and Support Services at Archbold Medical Center. She holds an MSN/MBA and is a registered nurse (RN). Prior to her current role, she served as the director of physician outreach at Archbold. In October 2023, she participated in a panel discussion as Assistant Vice President Clinical Services of Archbold Memorial Hospital, discussing strategies for attracting and retaining new patients.
