Amy Allen is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Baptist Health System, Inc. in Birmingham, Alabama. [5] She was promoted to President and CEO in October 2015 when the joint venture with Tenet for the operation of five hospitals in the Birmingham area was formed. [5] In her role, she is also responsible for strategic oversight of the Baptist Health Foundation. [5] Prior to her promotion, she was the Vice President, Finance and Chief Accounting Officer for Baptist from 2011-2015, and served in several other accounting/finance positions at Baptist from 1997–2011. His tenure there included leading significant expansion programs. Prior to his leadership roles within Baptist Health System, Bill was a flight paramedic and held leadership positions with San Antonio AirLIFE, an air medical transport service. His background encompasses both emergency care and hospital administration. He earned a bachelor's degree in speech and communication from Texas A&M University, obtained his paramedic license from the Texas A&M School of Medicine, and holds a master's degree in healthcare administration from Ashford University.
