Emergency crews responded to a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Cook Road and St. Joseph Avenue in St. Joseph, MO, on Monday morning, June 2, 2025. The crash involved a cement truck and a silver SUV. According to the St. Joseph Police Department, the SUV entered the intersection from Cook Road and was struck by the cement truck, which was traveling north on St. Joseph Avenue. The SUV had two occupants: a woman in her 40s and a teenager. The woman was transported to Mosaic Life Care by ambulance, while the teenager was taken to the hospital by private vehicle. Both individuals sustained non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the cement truck was not injured. All occupants were reported to be wearing seat belts. The cause of the crash is currently under investigation.

Mosaic Life Care is constructing a new specialty care clinic in St. Joseph, MO. The building, projected to cost $12,522,359, will be located on a plot of land referred to as University Hills, with a street to be named Mosaic Court. The facility is intended to house various outpatient ambulatory care, specialty clinics, primary care clinics, pediatrics, and total med family services. An ordinance was approved to accept payment from Lehr Construction and amend the city's budget to redirect fees for plan review to a third party, GBA, which will oversee certain services. The project is expected to be finished in the late summer of 2026.

Mosaic Life Care is preparing for a special event focused on women's health called "Mammothon." This event provides extended hours for scheduling mammograms in St. Joseph, Maryville, and Albany. The St. Joseph location will offer screenings until 11 p.m. on Friday, while Maryville and Albany will be open until 9 p.m. on the same evening. Appointments will also be available in St. Joseph and Albany on Saturday. Dr. Rony Abou-Jawde, a medical oncologist at Mosaic, emphasized that mammograms are proven to save lives and highlighted that family history is just one factor in breast cancer risk, with one in eight women developing the disease by their 70s regardless of family history.
