Methodist Hospital | Stone Oak is set to undergo a substantial $104 million expansion project beginning in the fall of 2025. The project is anticipated to be completed by early 2027. This expansion will significantly increase the hospital's capacity by adding 54 new beds, bringing the total number of beds to 299. The plans include constructing a fifth and sixth floor on the hospital's west tower, which will house 40 medical telemetry units on the fifth floor and 14 critical care ICU beds on the sixth floor. In addition to increasing bed count, the project will also involve expanding and renovating the hospital's kitchen and enlarging the central supply and lab areas. Furthermore, the expansion is expected to create over 65 new job positions at the hospital and add 123 new surface parking spaces. The construction phase is estimated to take approximately 17 months.
