Northwest Health released its annual Community Benefit Report, stating that it provided a total community benefit of more than $436 million in 2024 [3]. Across its network, Northwest Health saw 611,300 patients, with 84,300 patients visiting its emergency departments [3]. The health system provided $191 million in charity and uncompensated care, and also provided resources to help patients in need receive medications and medical support devices [3]. Northwest Health also completed a $3.7 million expansion of its behavioral health unit (BHU) that added 18 beds for acute care, bringing the total to 29 beds [3]. According to the report, Northwest Health improved access to specialized care by recruiting a breast surgical oncologist, orthopedic and spine surgeon, and cardiovascular thoracic surgeons [3]. It also recruited five new primary care providers and has 20 beds dedicated to the treatment of patients 55 and older, and it has opened an intensive outpatient program [3].

Northwest Health confirmed that its hospitals experienced an outage due to engineers mistakenly deleting critical storage on their database during maintenance work conducted by Cerner [13]. The outage, which occurred on April 24, 2025, was not related to a cyberattack or any security issues, and no patient data was compromised [13]. Despite the system being down, Northwest Health assured that procedures were in place to maintain hospital services and operations without disruptions, and teams were actively working to restore the system as quickly as possible [13]. The hospital system has locations in Fayetteville, Bentonville, Springdale, Siloam Springs and Johnson [13].
