Jenifir Bruno, M.D., was named FirstHealth chief medical officer on December 7, 2020. Dr. Bruno became affiliated with FirstHealth in March 2003 as a hospitalist at Moore Regional Hospital. In July 2008, she joined FirstHealth as assistant medical director for the Hospitalist Program.
Jeffrey A. Casey has served as the Chief Financial Officer at FirstHealth of the Carolinas since December 2020. He first joined FirstHealth in 1997, holding previous roles including Vice President of Finance and Support Services and Vice President, Finance. Prior to his time at FirstHealth, Casey was the CFO of Columbia Southwest Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky, and the controller of Bluegrass Regional Medical Center in Frankfort, Kentucky. He also served as chief accountant and assistant controller at Southern Hills Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee. Casey holds a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Clarion University of Pennsylvania. He is also a graduate of the Moore County Leadership Institute and a member of the North Carolina Healthcare Financial Management Association.
Jonathan S. Davis, MPH, FACHE, is the Chief Operating Officer for FirstHealth of the Carolinas and President of Moore Regional Hospital. He is responsible for the daily oversight of FirstHealth's operations, including Montgomery Memorial Hospital, MRH-Richmond, and MRH-Hoke, and reports to the CEO. With nearly 20 years of healthcare executive experience, Davis previously served as president of Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital in Charlottesville, Virginia, from 2015 to 2021, where he had strategic and operational responsibilities. His prior roles include president of Methodist Charlton Medical Center in Dallas, Texas, and president/CEO of Via Christi-Mt. Carmel Regional Medical Center in Pittsburg, Kansas. He also has experience with Ascension and CHI-St. Vincent Health System, beginning his career in patient care in the early 1990s. Davis holds a Bachelor of Science from Arkansas State University, a Master of Arts from Northern Arizona University, and a Master of Public Health Administration from Tulane University/Arkansas Medical School. He is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
Bernadette “Berni” Szczepanski, MBA, serves as chief people officer for FirstHealth of the Carolinas. She joined FirstHealth in March 2022.
Dana Casson was appointed President of the Foundation of FirstHealth in October 2024. She brings more than 20 years of executive fundraising experience and has held key leadership roles at leading health care organizations.
Amy Graham serves as the Chief Strategy & Innovation Officer at FirstHealth of the Carolinas. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and a Master of Healthcare Administration from the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill. Graham joined FirstHealth in 1993 and previously held the position of director, business development before becoming chief strategy & innovation officer. She is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives and actively participates in committees for the North Carolina Hospital Association and the North Carolina Division of Health Service Regulation. In her current role, she is responsible for overseeing the strategy and innovation department, which includes business development, planning, managing professional service transactions, and providing financial, analytics, and performance data for the organization.
Chris Beasley, MBA, is the Vice President, Information Systems/Chief Information Officer (CIO) at FirstHealth of the Carolinas. He joined FirstHealth in 2021. Before his role at FirstHealth, he served as CIO for Houston Healthcare in Warner Robins, Georgia. With over 25 years in the healthcare field, Beasley has also held information systems positions at health systems in Georgia and South Carolina. He earned both his bachelor's degree in business administration, computer-based information systems and his Master of Business Administration from Georgia College and State University. Beasley holds several certifications, including Certified Healthcare Chief Information Officer, Certified Digital Health Executive, Certified Information Systems Security Professional, and is a Fellow in the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society. He is also a graduate of the Moore County Leadership Institute.
