Cape Cod Healthcare has opened the first phase of its $215 million expansion project at Cape Cod Hospital, featuring a new, upgraded cancer care center within the Edwin Barbey Patient Care Pavilion [11, 8]. The new pavilion aims to upgrade facilities, increase bed count, and enable continued growth as competition for cancer patients intensifies in Eastern Massachusetts [11]. The first two floors of the four-story tower will house the new Davenport-Mugar Cancer Center, offering comprehensive services for cancer patients, including radiation oncology services on the first floor and 36 private infusion bays and medical oncology exam rooms on the second floor [8].
