Marc Cadieux is the Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Children's Wisconsin. He is responsible for all strategic and operational finance matters, including financial planning and budgeting, reporting, treasury, revenue cycle management, supply chain, and strategic initiatives. Cadieux joined Children's Wisconsin in 2005 as the director of Physician Financial Services and has since held positions as director of Financial Services and corporate director of Financial Services before being promoted to vice president of Financial Services in 2013 and appointed CFO in July 2015. Before his tenure at Children's Wisconsin, he was a senior manager in Assurance and Advisory Services at Deloitte, working in both Milwaukee and Winnipeg, Canada. At Deloitte, he provided business advisory and assurance services to various industries, including healthcare, non-profit organizations, professional services, manufacturing, and municipal governments. Cadieux holds a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Marian University, where he received the Distinguished Alumni Award in 2018, and an MBA from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Lubar School of Business. He is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in Wisconsin and holds Chartered Professional Accountant designations from Canada and Manitoba. Cadieux is also involved in community boards, serving as chairman of the board for Special Olympics Wisconsin and as a board member and Finance Committee Chair for Milwaukee Regional Medical Center Thermal Services, Inc.
Dr. Rainer Gedeit is the Chief Medical Officer at Children's Wisconsin. He earned his medical degree from Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine and completed his pediatrics residency at Loyola University Medical Center. He then completed a fellowship in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine at the Medical College of Wisconsin and Children's Wisconsin. Dr. Gedeit has been with Children's Wisconsin since 1991 and is also a Professor of Pediatrics at the Medical College of Wisconsin. He has held various roles including Medical Director for Respiratory Care Services and Associate Medical Director for Pediatric Critical Care. His experience also includes serving as Associate Chief Medical Officer, Chief of Medicine, and President of Medical Staff Services. Dr. Gedeit is board certified in Pediatrics and Pediatric Critical Care and has a special interest in improving care for hospitalized children, reducing central line associated bloodstream infections, and advocating for transparency of outcomes data and active family involvement in care. He is also involved in research regarding severe infections and comfort in critically ill children.
David M. Gourlay, MD, FACS, FAAP, serves as the Surgeon-in-Chief and the Marie Z. Uihlein Chair in Pediatric Surgery at Children's Wisconsin, where he has been since 2006. He is also a Professor of Surgery at the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW). Prior to his current role, he was the Chief of the Division of Pediatric Surgery within the MCW Department of Surgery and the Medical Director of Trauma at Children's Wisconsin. Dr. Gourlay holds a bachelor's degree from the University of California – Santa Barbara and an MD from the Medical College of Wisconsin. He completed his General Surgery Residency at the University of Washington in Seattle and his Pediatric Surgery Residency at the Children's Hospital of Wisconsin. His efforts have contributed to Children's Wisconsin's recognition as a Level I Pediatric Trauma Center. Dr. Gourlay's research interests include improving surgical quality and outcomes and pediatric trauma care, and he has an extensive list of publications and presentations. Additionally, he has a notable military record with the U.S. Army Reserves, including multiple deployments and achieving the rank of Colonel.
Joined the executive team on April 3, 2023. Provides executive leadership of extensive community health and child well-being programs, as well as legislative, advocacy and regulatory issues. Works closely with partners in the community, businesses, and private and public agencies to further critical child health initiatives. [12] Career has focused on health care innovation, including working collaboratively with private and public sector organizations to improve health systems and address community drivers of health. Served twice as secretary of the Wisconsin Department of Health Services where she helped to improve access to mental and behavioral health services, respond to the infant formula shortage, address the opioid epidemic and overdose deaths, guide the rollout of the COVID-19 vaccines and treatments, and worked to address disparities in health outcomes.
