Southcoast Health celebrated the expansion of its specialty care office in Wareham with a ribbon-cutting event this week. The newly expanded outpatient facility, known as Southcoast Health at Rosebrook, now offers comprehensive interdisciplinary care covering more than 18 medical and surgical specialties, alongside primary care, imaging, and laboratory services. According to David O. McCready, President and CEO of Southcoast Health, this expansion is a strategic step to provide advanced and convenient care to the community, fostering healthier individuals and stronger communities. The renovation on the third floor at 100 Rosebrook Way facilitated the co-location of similar services and introduced three new specialty areas: Audiology, Ear, Nose, and Throat (Otolaryngology), and Vascular Surgery. Dr. Dennis La Rock, Executive Vice President and Chief Physician Officer at Southcoast Health, highlighted that this expansion maximizes the use of their facilities, improves efficiency, and brings world-class care to the area, noting Wareham's importance as a gateway to Southcoast Health for many patients. The project was made possible through the commitment of the clinical, design and construction, and facilities teams, as well as donors and community partners. Donald Giumetti, Chair of the Board of Trustees for Southcoast Health System, expressed pride in this milestone and thanked everyone involved, especially patients and their families for their trust.
