NAH serves a large rural and tribal population across Northern Arizona, with approximately 33% of patients at Flagstaff Medical Center coming from tribal communities who depend significantly on Medicaid and Indian Health Services provisions. NAH leaders, doctors, and nurses emphasized that reduced Medicaid funding could jeopardize essential healthcare services for all rural residents, potentially forcing NAH to reduce services, delay facility upgrades, and hinder recruitment and retention efforts. This could lead to reduced access to care for everyone in the region, including those with commercial insurance. Governor Hobbs expressed her concern, stating that the state budget cannot backfill these potential federal cuts and that she is actively working to prevent them. NAH is collaborating with lobbying groups to highlight the critical impact of these proposed cuts on the entire healthcare system.

Guardian Air recently hosted a stop for the National EMS Memorial Service's Moving Honors Procession at its base in Flagstaff. This event is part of a larger procession that travels across the country to honor fallen EMS professionals. Northern Arizona Healthcare was a sponsor of this event in Flagstaff, which included participation from local fire and police departments, as well as Arizona State Troopers.
