Marion Health, in partnership with the Indiana Rural Health Association (IRHA), has achieved the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) certification for a new rural Family Medicine Residency Program. This program is a significant step in the IRHA's mission to improve rural healthcare access and address the shortage of healthcare professionals in underserved communities. The development of this program was supported by a Rural Residency Program Development grant from the Health Resources & Services Administration, for which IRHA acted as the applicant. The new residency program at Marion Health in Marion, Indiana, is designed to train six new residents per class year over a three-year span, aiming for a total of 18 active residents annually when fully implemented. This initiative is based on research indicating that most doctors practice near their training locations, which is expected to provide a steady influx of well-trained medical professionals committed to serving rural Indiana's healthcare needs. Beyond the direct health benefits, the program is also anticipated to stimulate economic growth, as each physician in Indiana reportedly contributes approximately $2 million to the local economy and supports 11.8 jobs.

Marion Health offered two sessions of their Nutrition for Metabolic Health class on June 11, 2025. These classes were held from 8:00 am to 9:00 am and again from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm. The course is designed for individuals concerned about their weight, risk for diabetes, or blood sugar management. The sessions provide aη©Ίι—΄ for discussion on the daily challenges faced by patients with head injuries and their caregivers as they relate to independent living and returning to the workplace. The primary focus of the group is to offer social support. The meetings are free to attend and take place in Conference Room B on the Fifth Floor of Marion General Hospital at 330 N. Marion Health East's Innovation and Medical Campus in Gas City, an expansion of services from Marion General Hospital, officially opened on September 23, 2024, after a nearly three-year process. The new four-floor facility is located on a 120-acre property designed for future growth. The campus focuses on outpatient services, including an emergency department, urgent care, radiology, multi-specialty care, full laboratory services, therapy, preventative care, and surgery. The facility incorporates new medical technology, such as Da Vinci Robotic Surgical Systems. It also includes 13 beds for inpatient services. The development of this campus was a strategic initiative to provide healthcare access to a community identified as "distressed" and is fully funded by Marion Health. The design of the campus emphasizes a patient-centered environment with advanced technology, aiming for convenience for patients, providers, and staff. The facility's design blends modern medical aesthetics with elements inspired by nature. Key features include integrated healthcare solutions, an emergency department with a helipad, and flexible infrastructure for future expansion. This development represents a significant investment in bringing state-of-the-art care to the southeastern Grant County area.
