Vicarious Visions became an industry-leading game developer, known for contributing to popular franchises like Tony Hawk's Pro Skater, Guitar Hero, Skylanders, and Crash Bandicoot. The company was sold to Activision-Blizzard in 2005, and the brothers led the business as senior vice presidents of Activision Publishing for 11 years. Vicarious Visions generated over $4 billion in sales and sold 45 million units of software. After 25 years, the Bala brothers transitioned out of Vicarious Visions in 2016 to become entrepreneurs again, founding Velan Studios and Velan Ventures.
