About the Practice

YAI (Young Adult Institute) is a non-profit organization dedicated to serving children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD), including those with autism, Down syndrome, and cerebral palsy. [2, 5, 8] Founded in 1957, YAI provides a comprehensive range of person-centered services designed to empower individuals to live, love, work, and learn in their communities. [2, 3, 4, 5] These services include supportive housing, education through affiliate schools, medical, dental, and mental health care via Premier HealthCare, job training and employment support, community integration programs, social enrichment activities, various therapies, crisis intervention, summer camp, and travel opportunities. [2, 4, 8, 9, 15]

This patient portal allows patients to access their information, manage their care, access patient plans, view medical records and lab results, ask medical providers questions, and request medication refills and appointments. The implementation of the NextGen patient portal for Premier HealthCare was effective as of December 19th.
