Research Analysis
Methodology & Findings

Weill Cornell Vein Treatment Center, as part of Weill Cornell Medicine and NewYork-Presbyterian, utilizes a patient portal called "Connect". This portal provides patients with secure online access to their medical records, allowing them to manage their healthcare, including viewing test results, scheduling appointments, paying bills, and communicating with their providers. The Connect patient portal is associated with the Epic electronic medical record (EHR) system. Columbia University Irving Medical Center and NewYork-Presbyterian integrated with Weill Cornell Medicine's Epic system and the Connect portal on February 1, 2020, consolidating patient information into a single system for these institutions. This is similar to how MyChart is the patient portal commonly used with Epic EHR systems.
