UBMD Emergency Medicine is a non-profit faculty practice plan of the University at Buffalo Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, providing expert, compassionate 24/7 emergency medical care to patients across Western New York. They staff the Emergency Departments at leading hospitals, offering a full spectrum of emergency medical services. Their services are enhanced by programs in Emergency Medicine Research, Emergency Medicine Ultrasound, Sports Medicine, Telemedicine, and the MATTERS program for addiction treatment. UBMD Emergency Medicine utilizes a patient portal branded as MyUBMD, which is powered by FollowMyHealth. FollowMyHealth, now known as Veradigm FollowMyHealth, is a cloud-based patient engagement platform designed to integrate with various Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems. While FollowMyHealth is designed to be EHR-agnostic, meaning it can integrate with different EHR systems, it is frequently associated with and has seamless integration capabilities with Allscripts EHR systems. One source notes that FollowMyHealth allows healthcare providers to conduct video visits directly within their Allscripts EHR. Another mentions the integration between TrustCommerce and Veradigm® Practice Management and Veradigm® FollowMyHealth. Veradigm was formerly a part of Allscripts.
