Research Analysis
Methodology & Findings

ZuckerEM @ Northwell, as part of the larger Northwell Health system, currently utilizes the **FollowMyHealth** patient portal. This patient portal, developed by Allscripts (now known as Veradigm), serves as a platform for patients to access and manage their health information. Historically, Northwell Health has used Allscripts' EHR systems, specifically Allscripts Sunrise for hospital operations and Allscripts Touchworks for outpatient settings, and the FollowMyHealth portal has been integrated with these systems. However, Northwell Health is in the process of transitioning its entire system to the **Epic** integrated EHR platform, with the implementation beginning in 2025. This significant change suggests that Northwell Health, including entities like ZuckerEM @ Northwell, will likely transition to using Epic's associated patient portal, **MyChart**, in the future, aligning the patient portal with their new core EHR system, similar to how other healthcare organizations using Epic utilize MyChart.
