Research Analysis
Methodology & Findings

Mount Sinai Morningside-West Emergency Medicine Residency, as part of the larger Mount Sinai Health System, utilizes MyChart as its patient portal. MyChart is the patient portal system that is integrated with the Epic electronic health record (EHR) system, which is the primary EHR used across the Mount Sinai Health System. Patients interacting with the Mount Sinai Health System, including those at Mount Sinai Morningside and Mount Sinai West, can access their medical information, communicate with providers, and manage aspects of their healthcare through the MyChart platform. This aligns with the common pairing of Epic EHR systems with the MyChart patient portal across many healthcare institutions.
