Research Analysis
Methodology & Findings

Weill Cornell Medicine Radiology utilizes a patient portal called **Weill Cornell Connect**. This portal is a shared platform used by Weill Cornell Medicine, NewYork-Presbyterian, and Columbia University Irving Medical Center. Weill Cornell Connect is tied to the **Epic** electronic health record (EHR) system. Weill Cornell Medicine, along with NewYork-Presbyterian and Columbia University Irving Medical Center, implemented the Epic EHR system and the associated Connect patient portal on February 1, 2020. Epic is described as the integrated electronic health record and the leading platform used across these institutions. Similar to how Epic uses MyChart as its patient portal branding for many healthcare systems, the patient portal branding for Weill Cornell Medicine, NewYork-Presbyterian, and Columbia University Irving Medical Center's Epic system is Weill Cornell Connect (also referred to simply as Connect).
