Research Analysis
Methodology & Findings

Nassau University Medical Center (NUMC), part of the Nassau Health Care Corporation (NuHealth), utilizes the FollowMyHealth patient portal, which is a product of Allscripts (now Veradigm). NuHealth selected Allscripts for their Electronic Health Record (EHR), emergency department automation, and practice management in 2010. FollowMyHealth is a patient engagement platform designed to integrate with various EHR systems, providing patients with a single point of access to their medical information. It allows patients to manage aspects of their healthcare online, such as viewing test results, accessing physician notes, requesting prescription refills, and scheduling appointments. Given that NuHealth implemented Allscripts for their EHR and subsequently introduced the Allscripts-provided FollowMyHealth portal, the FollowMyHealth portal at Nassau University Medical Center is most likely tied to their Allscripts EHR system. FollowMyHealth is explicitly described as being provided by Allscripts.
