Primary Electronic Health Record System
Mohawk Valley Health System (MVHS) utilizes the MyChart patient portal, which is a product of Epic Systems. MVHS transitioned to the Epic electronic health record (EHR) system, going live across the enterprise on June 29, 2019. This move integrated their hospitals and physician practices onto a single platform. MyChart provides patients with secure online access to their electronic medical record, allowing them to view health information such as lab results, appointment details, medications, and immunizations. Patients can also use MyChart to communicate with their providers, request prescription renewals, and schedule appointments. The integration of MyChart with Epic allows for enhanced data sharing and care coordination within the MVHS system and with other healthcare organizations that also use MyChart through a feature called Happy Together.
