Primary Electronic Health Record System
Long Island Digestive Disease Consultants, as a member of Northwell Health Physician Partners, utilizes the FollowMyHealth® Patient Portal for its patients to access and manage their health information. This portal allows patients to perform various functions, including requesting appointments, securely messaging their doctor's office, viewing lab results, requesting prescription refills, and accessing their health profile. Northwell Health, the larger health system that Long Island Digestive Disease Consultants is part of, is in the process of implementing Epic Systems as its electronic health record (EHR) system. The transition to Epic is planned to occur in phases, beginning in 2025, with the goal of unifying patient records across all Northwell Health facilities and practices. While FollowMyHealth is the current patient portal interface, the underlying EHR system is transitioning to Epic.
