The Innovative Health Alliance of New York (IHANY) is a collaboration among doctors, health systems, and healthcare providers in New York's Capital Region, established in 2014. [3, 10] It functions as the region's first Clinically Integrated Network (CIN), a physician-led initiative focused on improving community health, enhancing patient care quality, and reducing healthcare costs through coordinated care. [3, 13] IHANY achieves this by enabling physicians and health systems to work together in joint contracting and population health management, focusing on access, quality, and health costs. [10, 13] IHANY is also an approved Accountable Care Organization (ACO) for programs such as the Medicare Shared Savings Program. [7, 10]

Primary Electronic Health Record System
Innovative Health Alliance of New York (IHANY), in collaboration with its partners, primarily utilizes the MyChart patient portal, which is integrated with the Epic electronic health record (EHR) system. St. Peter's Health Partners, a significant partner of IHANY, transitioned to using Trinity Health MyChart as their patient portal as of May 8, 2021. This change allows patients within the St. Peter's Health Partners network to access their medical records, schedule appointments, request prescription refills, and communicate with their doctors through MyChart. While IHANY is a network of various healthcare providers, the strong affiliation with St. Peter's Health Partners and their adoption of Epic and MyChart indicates that many patients served through the IHANY network, particularly those connected to St. Peter's Health Partners, will be using the MyChart portal. EpicCare Link is also mentioned in connection with IHANY and St. Peter's Health Partners, serving as a web-based portal for providers to access patient data within the Epic EMR system.
