Finger Lakes Performing Provider System (FLPPS) is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization established in 2014 with the mission of improving the healthcare delivery system for the Medicaid population across a 13-county region in Upstate New York. [6] It operates as a partnership of health and human services providers, including health systems, federally qualified health centers, nursing homes, behavioral health providers, and community-based organizations. [6] FLPPS is responsible for implementing the Delivery System Reform Incentive Payment (DSRIP) program to transform healthcare delivery, advance population health, close gaps in care, and support high-risk individuals. Finger Lakes Performing Provider System (FLPPS) operates as a network of numerous clinical and community-based provider organizations across a 13-county region, rather than being a direct healthcare provider with a single,η»ŸδΈ€ patient portal for patient care. Therefore, FLPPS itself does not use a specific patient portal or EHR system for patient interactions in the way a hospital or practice would. However, member organizations within the FLPPS network utilize various patient portals and EHR systems. For example, Finger Lakes Health, a prominent partner within FLPPS, uses patient portals for their primary care and specialist practices, as well as separate portals for Geneva General Hospital and Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hospital. The patient portal for these hospitals is accessible via a web portal and also through the MHealth mobile app. The MHealth patient portal is the mobile version of MEDITECH's Patient and Consumer Health Portal, indicating that Finger Lakes Health utilizes a MEDITECH EHR system for at least some of its operations. Recent information indicates that Finger Lakes Health is merging with UR Medicine. As part of this merger, Finger Lakes Health is transitioning from using four separate EHR systems to implementing two new systems that will be compatible with UR Medicine's EHR. UR Medicine is stated to use the Epic EHR system.
