About the Practice

EPIC Family of Human Service Agencies, which includes EPIC Long Island, the Epilepsy Foundation of Long Island, and the South Shore Guidance Center, provides comprehensive care and support to individuals with epilepsy, developmental disabilities, intellectual disabilities, and mental health challenges on Long Island. [4, 5, 6, 10, 12, 13] Their services encompass residential programs, day habilitation, community habilitation, and a range of clinic services including psychological, social work, psychiatric, neurological, nutritional, physical, occupational, and speech therapy, as well as mental health clinics and substance use treatment. [3, 5, 8, 10] The organization is dedicated to empowering individuals and enriching their lives through specialized care, education, advocacy, and a supportive community environment, with a history dating back to 1953.
