Methodology & Findings

Columbia University Irving Medical Center (CUIMC) and the Neurological Institute of New York utilize a patient portal called "Connect". This portal serves as a unified access point for patients across CUIMC, NewYork-Presbyterian, and Weill Cornell Medicine. The Connect patient portal is integrated with the Epic electronic medical record (EHR system, which is used by these institutions. CUIMC and NewYork-Presbyterian fully transitioned to the Epic system and the Connect portal on February 1, 2020.
