Primary Electronic Health Record System
While individual practices within Catholic Medical Partners utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems from approximately 20 different vendors, the most common being Medent, Allscripts, and eClinical Works, their affiliated system, Catholic Health, has implemented the Epic EHR system. This extensive implementation by Catholic Health also includes the Epic MyChart patient portal. Catholic Medical Partners, as a network of physicians in partnership with Catholic Health, is connected to this Epic system, and affiliated practices are expected to gain access to it in phases. Therefore, while a variety of EHRs exist at the practice level within Catholic Medical Partners, the broader system-wide initiative through Catholic Health involves Epic and the MyChart patient portal for patient access to their health information. Catholic Medical Partners has also partnered with Innovaccer for population health tools that integrate with existing EHRs to provide a more unified view of patient data for care coordination.
