ARISE Child and Family Service, Inc. is a non-residential Independent Living Center founded in 1979, dedicated to working with people of all abilities to create a fair and just community where everyone can fully participate. The organization serves people of all ages with diverse disabilities and their families across Central New York. ARISE specializes in advocating for the rights and interests of people with disabilities and provides a wide range of programs and services aimed at promoting independence and integration into the community. These services include individual and systems advocacy, consumer-directed personal assistance, day habilitation, supported employment, mental health services offering individual, family, and group therapy, as well as programs focusing on accessibility, recreation, adaptive design, and home modifications like ramps.
