Primary Electronic Health Record System
Albany Medical Center, including its South Clinical Campus, uses the Epic electronic health record (EHR) system. Their patient portal is called MyChart. Albany Medical Center transitioned to the Epic EMR system in March 2024, replacing previous systems such as MEDENT, MEDITECH, Allscripts, Soarian, and Cerner. This transition included the launch of the MyChart patient portal. MyChart provides patients with secure online access to their health records, allowing them to manage appointments, view test results, request prescription refills, pay bills, and message their doctors. This change is part of a larger effort to unify all hospitals within the Albany Med Health System under a single platform.
