Chief Executive Officer, UAB Hospital

Served as interim CEO of UAB Hospital since November 2022. Prior to that, served as vice president of clinical operations for UAB Hospital since 2017. Before joining UAB, she was chief operating officer, vice president for patient care services and vice president of operations at Brookwood Medical Center. Carlisle began her career as a nurse more than 30 years ago. She received her Master of Health Science degree from St. Francis University and her bachelor's in nursing from the University of South Alabama. She is also certified in executive nursing practice by the American Organization for Nursing Leadership and has completed a variety of community leadership training.
