Felissa Koernig officially started work as the health system's new leader in September 2023. [11] Koernig previously served as president of Guthrie Corning Hospital in Corning. [11] She has more than 15 years of leadership experience in strategic and operational management in the nonprofit, federal, and private sectors. [11] Besides her work at Guthrie Corning, Koernig has served as senior VP/COO of Guthrie Towanda Memorial Hospital in Towanda, Pennsylvania. [11] Koernig had also previously worked as associate director/COO of the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Charleston, South Carolina. [11] She earned her law degree and MBA degree from Penn State University. [11]
