Cris Daskevich

Chief Executive Officer

Ms. Daskevich serves as Chief Executive Officer of CHRISTUS CHILDREN'S and Senior Vice President of maternal services for CHRISTUS Health. [18] She joined CHRISTUS Health as CEO of CHRISTUS Children's (formerly The Children's Hospital of San Antonio) nearly six years ago after serving in a variety of executive leadership roles at Texas Children's Hospital for more than two decades. [2] Daskevich knew from an early age that she wanted to work in pediatric health care. [2] She studied at Texas Christian University and then earned dual master's degrees in healthcare administration and business administration at the University of Houston—Clear Lake. [2, 18] While in her final year of graduate school, she was awarded a fellowship at Texas Children's Hospital, which led to her career there. [2] She was recruited to help The Children's Hospital of San Antonio (now CHRISTUS Children's) and CHRISTUS Health become the preeminent provider of pediatric and high-risk maternal care in San Antonio, South Texas, and across the CHRISTUS Health system. [18] Ms. Daskevich currently serves as the chair of the Learning and Engagement Committee for the Children's Hospital Association (CHA), and she is an Executive Committee member of the Texas Hospital Association (THA) board of trustees. [18] Locally, she is on the Haven for Hope board of directors in San Antonio and the CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Board. [18]
