Holds a bachelor's degree in business administration and is a licensed long-term care administrator by the State of Alabama Board of Examiners of Nursing Home Administrators. Serves on the boards of the Industrial Development Authority, Chamber of Commerce, Healthcare Workers Compensation Fund, Bibb County School Foundation, and Alabama Select. Has served the Alabama Hospital Association in various positions, including chairing the Association's legislative committee, serving as president of the West Alabama Regional Hospital Council and as chair of the Rural Hospital Constituency Section, and has chaired and/or participated on a number of other committees.
