Michelle Deeds

Chief Executive Officer

Michelle Deeds, of Renick, West Virginia, was selected as the new Chief Executive Officer, with her first official day on Friday, July 7, 2023. She was selected by a unanimous vote of the Board of Trustees on July 6. Deeds has spent her entire professional career working in West Virginia healthcare. She obtained her RN and BSN from Mountain State University. She first came to PMH in 2014 as a Registered Nurse and served as the Director of Nursing and Clinical Services at PMH for the four years prior to becoming CEO. She has been a member of the West Virginia Hospital Association's Quality Committee and is a 2022 graduate of the West Virginia Hospital Leadership Academy, being the first female graduate from that program appointed as a Chief Executive Officer. Deeds is married with two sons and was awaiting her first grandchild in the fall (as of the article date). She is active in her community and attends Sinks Grove Baptist Church. [6]

Dr. Kelby Faulkiner, DO

Chief of Staff, Emergency Department

Chief of Staff in the Emergency Department. Dr. Kelby Faulkiner rejoined the emergency team at Pocahontas Memorial Hospital. He has practiced emergency and family medicine since 2004, after serving active duty with the US Army for five years and in the US Army Reserves for nine years, including overseas service in Wuersburg, Germany and Baghdad, Iraq. Dr. Faulkiner has previously worked at Greenbrier Valley Medical Center, Bluefield Regional Medical Center, Summersville Regional Medical Center, and Webster County Memorial Hospital. He is a 2001 graduate of West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine. [13, 14]
