Dr. Moore serves as the Interim Medical Center Director at Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare System. As the Interim Medical Center Director, Dr. Moore has direct line responsibility and full accountability for managing all activities in a healthcare delivery system, which includes a two-campus medical center with 505 operating hospital beds, a 154 bed Domiciliary and a 119-bed Community Living Center. CAVHS also manages eight Community Based Outpatient Clinics. He sets policy for the overall budget of the medical center that totals more than $1 Billion and more than 3,900 employees. Before being appointed Interim Medical Center Director at CAVHS, Dr. Moore served as the Interim Medical Center Director at VA Eastern Colorado Health Care. Dr. Moore joined the VA more than 20 years ago and has held progressive leadership positions across VA Heartland Network (VISN 15), Kansas City, MO. Before joining CAVHS as the Deputy Medical Center Director, he concluded his service with VISN 15 as the Deputy Network Director. In this role he provided leadership and direction for the activities of the Chief Logistics Officer, Capital Assets Manager, Business Implementation Manager, Security Officer, Prosthetics, Fiscal, and Financial Quality Assurance Manager. Dr. Moore obtained his masters and doctorate degrees in psychology from Texas Tech University in Lubbock, TX. His bachelor's degree in psychology was awarded by Harding University in Searcy, AR. He is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives and a graduate of the Veteran's Health Administration's Executive Career Field Development Program. Dr. Moore's unique experience and leadership skills will provide a tremendous benefit to Veterans across the state of Arkansas.

A humble leader with a kind smile and a passion for helping veterans, Jaques is known for going above and beyond to make those around him feel appreciated. [12] Four years after moving to Arkansas from upstate New York, Jaques enlisted in the military in 1992 and quickly discovered an affinity for ministry. [12] In 2020, Jaques published a book, “A Chaplain's Battle: Transcending Powerlessness in an Explosive World,” which addresses the feelings chaplains endure while supporting others through the most challenging moments of their lives.
