Nanette Mickiewicz, MD

President/CEO of Dominican Hospital

Born in Walnut Creek California and grew up in the Bay Area. Attended college at St. Mary's in Moraga, and then medical school in Chicago. Has four children and a dog. Is proud to be a physician and loves the challenge of seeing patients. Is the fifth of six children and feels fortunate to still have her siblings as best friends. Finds time for herself when work is busy always a challenge. Losing her father to congestive heart failure at age 89 was incredibly difficult. Considers it an honor to participate in the health care of those in the community and is humbled by the talented and compassionate people she works with, striving to do her best every day to keep up with them. Completed a 52ish mile walk with Project Athena in San Diego, finding the training and long walks physically challenging but emotionally gratifying. Likes to take walks without music or distractions, which helps her feel calmer and more grounded. Is currently looking for a new #BigScaryGoal after accomplishing the walk.
