Dr. William G. Jones

President and Chief Medical Officer

Dr. Jones has been with CHI St. Vincent Infirmary as chief medical officer and as vice president of medical affairs for five years prior to becoming president. [3, 4, 5, 10] He brings more than 30 years of experience in the healthcare industry. [4, 5, 10] Before his roles with CHI St. Vincent, he practiced cardiothoracic surgery in Dallas for 27 years and served as a Chief Medical Officer for Tenet Healthcare and Baylor Scott & White. [4, 5, 10] He has also held various leadership roles, including Managing Physician Partner at Texas Regional Medical Center and President of Texas Cardiothoracic Surgery Associates. [5, 10] A native of El Dorado and a graduate of the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences School of Medicine, he completed his training in cardiothoracic surgery at New York Presbyterian and Memorial Sloan-Kettering Hospitals in New York City, where he was also a member of the faculty of the Cornell University School of Medicine.
