Chief Nursing Officer, PIH Health Whittier Hospital

Ramona Pratt MSN MSHCA RN received the DAISY Lifetime Achievement Award in May 2023. She was recognized at the PIH Health Whittier Hospital Flo Scott Nursing Awards Luncheon. Ramona is described as a transformational leader and positive role model in the nursing profession, having made a remarkable difference in clinical practice, patient care and safety, nursing research, nursing leadership, and the positive image of professional nursing. [2] A press release from December 2019 announced her naming as Chief Nursing Officer of PIH Health Hospital - Whittier, responsible for executive oversight of nursing practice and operations there. [5] She has worked for PIH Health for nearly 40 years and has served in executive roles since 2007, including vice president of Oncology Services, chief operating officer and chief nursing officer of PIH Health Hospital - Downey, chief operating officer of PIH Health Physicians, and vice president of Nursing Operations at PIH Health Hospital - Whittier before becoming CNO in November 2019. [5] She holds a Master of Science in Nursing and Healthcare Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from California State University, Long Beach. [5]
