Prior to serving as Interim President since April [2021], he was the hospital's Chief Operating Officer. He has been with VUMC since 2015 and was previously on the leadership team of Vanderbilt University Hospital before joining VWCH in 2020. He joined VUMC as vice president of Operations for Vanderbilt University Hospital in 2015. Prior to Vanderbilt, he was employed by Duke Regional Hospital. McCarver was named President of Vanderbilt Wilson County Hospital in 2021.
